Episode 1: The Broken House
Homeowners Joanne and Mike’s plans for an addition to their home has only added up to a year of terrible workmanship from a contractor who ended up breaking up with them, leaving them with an unliveable house.
Episode 2: Water Finds a Way
Homeowners Joanne and Mike’s plans for an addition to their city home ended in a $500,000 disaster of code violations, costly shortcuts, and endless safety hazards. Mike Holmes called it one of the 10 worst renovations he has ever seen.
Episode 3: Ungrounded
Homeowners Kim and Sandor thought they checked all the boxes on their wish list when they bought their bungalow, but a year of endless leaks, shocking electrical issues, and a dismissive construction team left them feeling defeated and overwhelmed. Mike, Michael, and Sherry step in to help, but must deal with insufficient waterproofing and dangerous wiring.
Episode 4: Additional Stress
Things got crowded for homeowners Jason and Alison and their young sons, so a two- story addition plus extra basement space was the plan. Unfortunately, the contractor took on more than he could handle and abandoned the project, leaving this financially drained couple with an unfinished, dangerous mess.
Episode 5: Steam Dream
Homeowners Alison and Jason were left reeling and financially drained when their contractor abandoned their basement addition project, leaving them with a hazardous home. Mike, Sherry, and Michael stepped up to fix the electrical and HVAC issues, but now must contend with unmovable bulkheads, unsightly posts, and a very bumpy floor.
Episode 6: Framed
Homeowners Mark and Renae had big plans to build a basement apartment in their home for Mark’s aging mom, but a crooked contractor left them with a dangerous mess and a trail of excuses. Mike, Michael, and Sherry are shocked to find live wires everywhere, sloppy framing, and dangerous gas leaks.
