Your kitchen cabinets take up a lot of real estate in your kitchen, so if they’re showing their age, they can start to drag down the look and value of the whole room.

While we all dream of doing the big kitchen renovation, if that’s not in the cards, focusing on your cabinetry may be a good project to tackle to update your kitchen. The big question I hear a lot is: should I be replacing my cabinets entirely, or can I get away with painting or refacing them? Should I reface or replace my kitchen cabinets?

There are many different types of grout and it’s important that the right one is used for the type of tile that’s being installed, whether it’s for a backsplash, kitchen floor, bathroom, shower or fireplace. An expert opinion never hurts.

Solariums are essentially additions made almost entirely of glass, which can lead to a greater risk of heat loss. Anyone considering a solarium should only hire a reputable professional who addresses and minimizes that risk by getting all of the proper permits and by following the right construction protocols, including building code.

Confirm the manufacturer’s warranty on the windows and make sure it’s a realistic one.

Warranties vary. Some have limited lifetime warranties while others may only cover non-glass components for 5 to 10 years or glass up to 20 years. Read the fine print, ask the right questions and understand what you are covered for and for how long.

Having a generator at home isn’t just about convenience. It’s not just about the food in your fridge and freezer spoiling, there are so many other issues that can come up due to a power outage.

You may see us swing a hammer a couple of times in dramatic fashion, and then when the camera pans back, the walls are torn down. But in reality, demolitions take many, many hours. Then there is the clean-up of debris that you usually don’t see on TV. https://t.co/k3sGtGJtaW
