Homeowners Mark and Renae had big plans to build a basement apartment in their home for Mark’s aging mom, but a crooked contractor left them with a dangerous mess and a trail of excuses. Mike, Michael, and Sherry are shocked to find live wires everywhere, sloppy framing, and dangerous gas leaks.
Meanwhile, after an overwhelmed contractor left homeowners Alison and Jason with an unsightly and unsafe space, they make a joyful return to their new basement oasis, complete with a cheery kid zone and a decked-out gym.
