A Botched Reno on Holmes On Homes

 

Watch this full Mike Holmes episode – Holmes on Homes for free! Tammy and Jason bought a new house, and after the second year the warranty was over and they noticed some issues that needed to be addressed.

They found a contractor through flyers. He was putting out ads throughout the area. A sweet grandpa type, he provided references and referrals. Tammy and Jason were impressed, and after a lot of time spent reviewing everything, they hired the contractor. What they didn’t know was that he wasn’t the actual contractor. The contractor who had talked to the couple subcontracted it out.

The contractor told them they don’t need a permit.

“Looks like a bit of a scam to me,” said Mike Holmes
