When brothers Patrick and Stokely tried to finish their basement to accommodate more family, their contractor took their money and ran, leaving a mess so bad it threatens their health and safety. Now, it’s up to Mike, Sherry and Michael fix the mistakes of the past, while setting this multi-gen household up for a healthier future.
Meanwhile, after a four-year reno nightmare left Sarah and Matt with no direct access to their basement, the Holmes family sets out to restore function to their main floor while building back faith in the trades.

After a four year bad builder nightmare left Sarah and Matt’s home more dysfunctional than ever, the Holmes family take on the structural messes of renos past, to set this family up for their future. Meanwhile, the saga of the fraudulent contractor that left brothers Patrick and Stokely with a decimated, unhealthy basement comes to an end as Mike, Sherry and Michael put the finishing touches on the renovation that will finally allow this multi-generational household to open their doors to more family members in need.
Episode 15: Flooded by Fear
In a steady effort to repair the damage and dysfunction left after a four-year reno nightmare, the Holmes family finally return the flow that was stolen from Sarah and Matt’s segmented main floor. Meanwhile, after a bad builder walked away with their savings, Maria and Frank are finally facing their fear of renovations, hoping Mike, Sherry and Michael can dig their entire property out of a five-year flood.
