Kathy, a single mom, decided to downsize and buy a house in her current neighborhood. She is a policewoman on disability who, needing to downsize, was thrilled to find a townhouse she could afford for herself and her daughter. She did something right – she hired a home inspector. But what did Mike Holmes find when he showed up at her place?

A Life-Changing Event

A few years earlier, Kathy had met with an unfortunate incident. She responded to a basic shoplifting call and was talking to the suspect about the bag that he committed the theft with. Suddenly, he went for Kathy’s gun and punched her in the face. She went down to the ground, using both hands to protect her firearm. Kathy received about 40 punches to her head and as a result is suffering from dystonia which is in the family of the Parkinson’s disease.

The Home Inspector

The problems that the home inspector missed, however, are causing more anxiety and work than Kathy can handle. Mike Holmes stepped in to do a thorough Holmes Inspection.
