The Make It Right® Charity and The Holmes Foundation, offer Make It Right® Awards designed to encourage Canadian college and university students to complete their academic training.


Award Value: $2,000.00

All awards will be given directly to the student to use towards any program related expenses.

Student Eligibility

The applicant must:

  • Be entering or enrolled in a residential construction program at a Canadian college or trade school
  • Provide proof of enrollment is required (i.e., receipt showing deposit or payment of first semester/term)  (scan and upload)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in residential construction or renovation (e.g. volunteer work, employment, student and/or independent projects, etc.)
  • Demonstrate a high academic standing (“A” average 80%-85% or higher), however other qualities, like passion and commitment to learning will also be considered. Please provide copies of official educational transcripts (scan and upload)
  • Provide Letters of Reference (minimum of 2 letters) from instructors and/or recent employers (scan and upload)

 

Please note: To be eligible for a Make It Right® Award you must pay your deposit and fees in full by the due dates specified in your letter of acceptance.

                • Is giving consent to representatives of Make It Right® Charity to speak to their references;
                • Is agreeing that if they are presented with an award, they will sign a media release allowing the Make It Right® Charity, as well as its subsidiaries and affiliates, to use their name, photo, and the fact they were given an award, in any and all forms of media;
                • Understands they are responsible for providing all required documentation as indicated in the application form, or as directed by the Make it Right® Charity
                • Understands that the collection of personal information provided in the Application Form or accompanying documentation, including social insurance number, is used solely for the purpose of determining their eligibility for being given the award, the Make it Right Charity Award, as outlined by Sections 38 and 39 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
