Holmes On Homes: Building a Legacy

Episode 5: House Trap

After a medical emergency leads to homeowner Linda’s right leg needing to be amputated, Mike Holmes and his kids, Michael and Sherry, help make her home more accessible. Linda and her husband Stuart are struggling with their new living situation. Linda is now in a wheelchair. She can’t get to her bedroom or bathroom on the second floor, so she is forced to sleep in the living room and sponge bathe in the powder room.

The Holmes family focus on adding an exterior ramp, a chair lift to the second floor, accessible kitchen features, and a more open concept for better maneuverability. Linda is extremely grateful to the Holmes family for regaining her independence in her newly accessible home.
