Mike Holmes and his kids, Michael and Sherry, help homeowner Filomena age safely in her beloved, but crumbling house. Filomena has raised 6 kids in her home, and now she’s determined to live there on her own. Problem is, it’s dangerous. The basement floods every time it rains. The electrical is precarious. Because Filomena doesn’t have a safe bathroom on the second floor, she must travel down a dangerous flight of stairs to the basement to have a shower.
The Holmes family focus on a water management system, a functional kitchen, a modern bathroom upstairs with shower, and other safety features specifically designed for older people. Filomena’s family are thankful for the transformation of their mom’s home into a comfortable and safe haven.
