Can you please provide a list of good spray foam companies in the U.S.? From what I've seen, spray foam is rare here in Alabama. I'm very jealous of the blue wood and ecotite foam you have up there in Canada. It's very hard to find quality products down here.

I have a question about spray foam insulation. Weare in a completely different environment than you are accustomed to our average temp in winter is 45f and summer is 90f both with 100% humidity.Foam insulaters here debate closed cell foam (seals with a vapor barrier) or open cell foam ( insulates with no vapor barrier).

Hello, I'm very interested in this product but am concerned with air exchange within the living envelope. If a home is made practically air-tight, what methods would Mr. Holmes approve of to exchange the air old stale air with fresh new air at minimal costs of heating/cooling that new air? Thank you.

We are very pleased with Walltite, but are wondering if there is a product you can apply that makes it fire resistant other than drywall.

@Kathleen -- According to the tech sheets provided by BASF, they manufacture three "grades" of Walltite Eco for application in three different temperature ranges, from -10C to +40C, of which housing in Ottawa will fall into at some point in the year. As for continual temperatures after the product is applied, BASF states the substrate (what the foam is holding on to) must remain between -60C and +80C -- which also is not a problem. (Remember any exterior foam is going to be insulating it's substrate anyway.) I hope this helps.

My reading of the National Building Code from the NRC does not assure me that this product is approved for use in Ottawa due to the winter temperatures reached here. Does anyone know if this product can be used in Ottawa? Has anyone confirmed this with the NRC?
