The Make It Right app is designed to help homeowners take control of their renovation projects and manage them to a successful conclusion. Plan your project. Track your project. Consult Mike's advice. And you can use the app as the ultimate home renovation reference tool. This app helps you plan right and hire right, in order to Make it Right®.

PHOTO CAPTURE
When planning your renovation you may want to capture ideas on-the-go with the photo tool. The photo annotation functionality allows you to add notes directly to your photo scrapbook. Also, you can take before and after photos of the work being done as well as progress photos.

CONTRACTOR ADDRESS BOOK
Finding the right contractor is one of the most important parts of a reno done well. The address book allows you to capture contractors' details -- and references -- directly in the app. When you find the right contractor for the right job, attach that contractor's details to that specific project.

PROJECT TRACKING
You can plan and track multiple projects at the same time. Once you create a project, the app walks you through the typical steps according to the Make It Right philosophy. Once you hire a contractor, you can track the agreed upon payment schedule right in the app. You can also capture incidental notes, change orders and other details in the project log.

HOME 101
The app includes a resource section. It is structured to give you a foundation-to-attic understanding of your home. Even though you are hiring a contractor to do the work, Mike believes knowing how things work ‘behind the drywall’ is a fundamental component to a successful home reno project.

GLOSSARY AND MATERIALS
If you need to know what a word means, the app allows you to look up typical terms, brands, and concepts either on-site, when shopping for materials, or at your leisure.

PROJECT EXPORT
The app allows you to export all your project details via email. During the project you can send select details to your contractor or, once the renovation is complete, you can archive the entire project.

CONNECT WITH MIKE HOLMES
The app also allows fans of Mike, and those who want to know more about him, to connect with him online.

Concur that the iPhone is not the only smartphone out there; need more apps that are compatible with more phones; rather doubt that many iPhone users are that interested in this stuff anyway!

I am one among many who would love to have this app on my phone. Unfortunately it is not available for the Android platform. Hopefully it will soon be available for Android, Blackberry and other platforms soon.
